Poul Kjærholm was one of the star architects behind Danish Modern. With his functionalist approach to furniture design, Kjærholm cultivated simplicity and lightness. Moreover, as a designer, he excelled at combining his favorite material, steel, with other organic materials. Both qualities are reflected beautifully in the PK1 dining chair, while flawlessly balancing aesthetics, comfort and stability. The PK1 is executed in steel and FSC-certified handwoven paper cord to the exacting standards of Carl Hansen & Son.
