'Jack' is an award-winning multifunctional object that was one of Tom Dixon’s first experiments with plastic. The shape is inspired by concrete coastal defences called ‘Tetrapods.' Awarded the Millennium Mark Status in 1997 by the British Government, it is now part of the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and San Francisco Museum, US.

Fabricated using the industrial process of air rotation-moulding, the lightweight matte white polyethylene shade creates a softly diffused glowing light. The Jack is stackable, portable, and can be sat upon.
