The Wire lamp translates Panton’s exploration of steel wire into a simple and sensuous design with a featherlight feel. While exploring the artistic potential of steel wire material and techniques in the early 70s, Verner Panton designed a playful reinterpretation of a lightbulb silhouette. Executed in chrome-plated, cylindrical steel wire framework that holds an acrylic opaline shade, the Wire Lamp has a sculptural quality. An integrated metal reflector within the shade produces a soft, diffused glow.

Available in unlimited quantities in four shade colors. Also available as a floor lamp and table lamp version in separate listings.
