Paavo Tynell 'A1965' Brass and Glass Counterweight Pendant for GUBI

Originally designed by Paavo Tynell in 1947, this authorized GUBI re-edition is executed in a perforated brass metal shade with white interior and glass diffuser. Like many of his iconic designs, the pendant was designed for the Finland House in New York, one of the most ambitious and successful projects of all time to showcase Finnish design.

Perfecting the techniques of metal finishes, Tynell developed the A1965 Pendant with his exceptional ability to capture and translate a grace and lightness into his brass creations. Characterized by its triangular perforation pattern, the shade bears Tynell's hallmark. A solid brass counterweight mechanism allows the shade to move up and down.

Accommodates three 60w max equivalent LED bulbs. LED only. Recommended warm white and dim-to-warm Tala bulbs available here.
