Pierre Chapo was one of France’s most celebrated modern woodworkers and furniture designers. His sculptural and organic forms combine French modernist refinement with a traditional emphasis on craftsmanship. Today his made-to-order solid wood furniture continues to be handcrafted in France at the Chapo Création workshop run by Zoran Chapo, who embraces his grandfather's commitment to simplicity, sustainability, sincerity and creation.

First designed in 1966, Pierre Chapo's 'S15' armchair was the result of Chapo's research into the '48x72' assembly method. Adorned with the finest leather and featuring intricate details such as stitching and wood joinery, the 'S15' armchair highlights the finesse and complexity of Chapo's work. Comprised of 4 dacron cushions, a leather 'belt', and an elastic platform, the 'S15' is plush and comfortable as it is beautiful. Executed in wood and leather, choice of fabric is also available for an additional cost. Finished in a simple and natural oil of linseed and turpentine.

Price per item. Available to order in unlimited quantities in black or brown leather as well as choice of elm or oak wood, please specify when ordering.  Please note that the wood's grain, color and features vary from item to item due to the organic nature of the material.

Every item is made to order with an approximate lead time of 6 to 12 months, depending on the piece. Lead times are subject to change without notice. **SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED** In order to facilitate the most accurate shipping quote on Chapo pieces, the buyer will be invoiced directly by Chapo Création for the actual shipping cost once ordered items have been fabricated. Buyer is responsible for all customs duties, fees and import taxes as well as the removal and disposal of packing materials. Please note that items must ship from Chapo Création’s workshop in France, so local pickup is not available. Shipment insured through carrier only. Two Enlighten is not liable for any claims.
