Founded in 1946 in Milan, Stilnovo was one of the most innovative lighting companies in Italy during the Midcentury era, producing iconic pieces by such luminaries as Joe Colombo, Angelo Mangiarotti, Ettore Sottsass, Gaetano Scolari, Piero Castiglioni, Bruno Gatta and others. Stilnovo was relaunched in 2019 with a commitment to faithfully re-editioning its legendary designs with uncompromising attention to detail, materials and craftsmanship.

The 'Topo' floor lamp, originally designed by Joe Columbo in 1970, has long been recognized as an iconic and timeless design. The reflector's shape mirrors that of a standard light bulb while sitting atop an adjustable arm. Reminiscent of the vents on a 1960's sports car, five slots were created atop the reflector to dissipate heat from original incandescent bulbs while preventing direct glare. A black handle permits the user to adjust the reflector to a variety of angles making this light ideal for any task, as does the jointed arm. A staple of Italian lighting design, this version is meticulously executed to Stilnovo's exacting standards in powder-coated metal.
