Executed in solid FSC-certified oak, Tom Dixon's Slab desk is constructed in simple geometric shapes that celebrate the natural beauty of wood. Each piece has generous proportions, solid materiality and is softened with a gentle radius edge. The wood's surface is deeply brushed to expose its natural grain and finished with a matte lacquer. Inspired by the archetypical Victorian school desk, this contemporary work station is equally comfortable as a hotel room desk or a dressing table. The traditional inkwell space is transformed into a cable management hole, and a deeply machined groove has been added for pens and accessories.
