1950s Perforated Metal Diabolo Plug-In Wall Lamp Attributed to Mauri Almari. A rare and elegant design executed in sculptural black painted perforated metal with attractively patinated brass arm. Unmarked.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new black double-twist cloth cord and period-styled US wall plug. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor for additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
