'Blur' Wool Kilim Rug by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Nanimarquina
 
Fabricated from Afghan wool, 'Blur' is a hand-loomed kilim rug. The sequence of geometric shapes and repetition are definitive hallmarks of the Bouroullec brothers. The rug's blurred effect has been achieved by inverting the direction in which the kilims are traditionally woven. This change in weaving causes the lines to be blurred. When viewing the rug from afar, an indefinite, unfocused surface is apparent, that gives its name to the collection. Close up, upon the rug's playful geometry is revealed.
 
Nani Marquina founded her namesake company in 1987 in Barcelona. More than 30 years later, the company continues to offer artisanal rugs worldwide without compromising on design, quality, or aesthetics. 
 
Price is per item. Available in unlimited quantities in five standard sizes and 3 colors. Also available as a runner in green only. Custom sizes available upon request for an additional fee and with extended lead times possible.
 
In-stock lead time for small and medium-sized rugs and runner is 2-3 weeks. Larger sizes can take 12 weeks or more. Out of stock or custom sizing can add additional 14 weeks or more. Inventory availability can change at any time. For time-sensitive orders, please inquire prior to purchasing.
 
Please note that due to the organic and handmade nature of this fiber some variation in color may occur from piece to piece, which may become further pronounced with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Only one representative example of the rugs is shown in the images.
 
Also note this item must ship directly from Nanimarquina’s fulfillment center, so buyer arranged shipping or local pick-up are not an option. Shipping cost quoted is per item and cannot be combined. Please note that sales to New York state will be assessed sales tax on a separate invoice.
