Carl Auböck Model #4629 'Stufenuhr' Brass Wall Clock

 

Originally designed in the late 1960s by Carl Auböck III, this incredibly refined and sculptural Viennese wall clock is executed in polished brass "step" (Stufen) and features a geometric patinated brass hands. Requires one AA battery (not included). The Stufenuhr clock was recently put back into production by the Auböck workshop in Vienna.

 

Produced by Carl Auböck IV in the original workshop in the 7th district of Vienna using the same exacting standards, high-quality materials, original molds, and techniques of his legendary namesake. Auböck's design career was long and varied, reaching its pinnacle of prestige at the Triennale di Milano in 1954, where he received four gold medals in recognition of his iconic work.
