VLA62 'Radio House' Wood Mirror for Carl Hansen

The story of Danish Modern begins in 1908 when Carl Hansen opened his first workshop. His commitment to beauty, comfort, refinement, and craftsmanship is evident in iconic pieces designed by such legends as Hans J. Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Kaare Klint, Poul Kjærholm, Vilhelm Lauritzen and others. Now in its third generation as a family run business, Carl Hansen & Son maintains its legacy through skillful work with the highest quality materials, sustainably producing Danish design classics by past icons and influential new designers.

Originally created in 1945 for the Royal Retiring Room in Copenhagen's Radio House, Lauritzen's 'Radio House' mirror embodies iconic Nordic midcentury design. This newly authorized production of Lauritzen's full-length mirror is faithful to the original dimensions and materials. Expertly crafted and hand-sanded, the Radio House mirror's curves lend an an organic, tactile presence. Executed in eight pieces of FSC-certified oak wood that are sanded and oiled by hand to highlight the unique grain and tone of each piece. A substantial design with a sculptural expression, the Radio House Mirror adds warmth and character to a range of spaces.
