Greta Magnusson Grossman '62' Desk in Walnut for Gubi
Designed by Grossman in 1952, but named the '62' desk as it was deemed to be ten years ahead of its time, this is an authorized re-edition by Gubi of Denmark, who meticulously reproduces her work with scrupulous attention to detail and materials that are faithful to the original specifications.
Executed in luxurious American walnut, the '62' desk illustrates the designer’s penchant for exceptional shapes and unusual pairing of materials. The slender metal legs with ball-shaped feet, a characteristic trait of Grossman, contrasts the sharp rectangular shape, giving the furniture a characteristic appearance of lightness-- almost seeming to defy gravity. Adding to its elegance, the desk is provided with a deep, black full gloss finish on the tabletop.
Please note: Only one representative example is featured in the photos and some variation of grain may exist from piece to piece due to the organic nature of walnut.
