Jean Prouvé Abat-Jour Conique Lampshade for Vitra.
This accessory lampshade for the Potence and wall light...
During the 1940s, Jean Prouvé designed the Potence wall lamp for his own home in Nancy: a simple light bulb affixed to a long pivoting metal bar, supported by a steel wire. In 1947 Prouvé developed a cone-shaped lamp shade to match Potence in its different versions and sizes. Now available in an authorized re-edition for Vitra, the Abat-Jour Conique is intended for use with the Potence and Petite-Potence wall lamps. It is simply fitted over the light bulb and can be removed again when needed
Executed in powder-coated steel wire, powder-coated with a brushed cotton fabric cover with plastic backing.
