Jean Prouvé Standard Chair for Vitra.
The standard chair is an early masterpiece by the French designer and engineer Jean Prouvé. Originally designed in 1934, the Standard evolved into one of the most famous classics of the French 'constructeur'. Executed in three choices of wood veneer and powder-coated bent steel frame. The seat and backrest are covered in a protective varnish; the frames are available in 8 colors based on Prouvé's original design palette. Equally suitable for dining or working, the Standard chair pairs well with other Prouvé classics, including the Guéridon dining table, Compas Direction desk, and EM table.
