'Motus' Adjustable Suspension Light in Hand-Blown Glass for Kdln
 
Unconditional freedom and ability to adapt to a stimulating environment and changing needs is the creative idea behind the ‘Motus’ pendant light by Kdln. Inspired by climbing gear, it uses a simple press and release button, a single interaction, a simple movement to slide the light along its power cord, adjusting to different heights and supporting itself by its own weight. Executed in a minimalist opal mouth-blown glass globe diffuser and cylindrical powder-coated metal rod that complements a wide variety of decor styles.
 
‘Motus’ is the brainchild of Shulab, the studio founded in 2005 by designers Kfir Schwalb and Orit Magia who met at the Bezalel academy of design and arts in Jerusalem. Always trying to blur the border between art and technique, Shulab has become an internationally acclaimed design studio with their work widely published and showcased in several featured exhibitions.

The ‘Motus’ suspension lamp uses one 22W warm white LED (included). Dimmable (dimmer not included) and suspended from a 6.3 inch-diameter canopy by a matte cable (white with white structure, black with black or red structure) with a maximum drop of 11.5 feet (Different lengths available upon request). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from an authorized third party vendor for an additional fee. Please contact us to facilitate.
