'Pietra' Travertine Side Table by GamFratesi for Gubi
 
Continuing GamFratesi’s material exploration of travertine that began with the Epic and Doric Tables, the 'Pietra' Side Tables celebrate the mesmerizing patterns found in the surface of the stone.
 
Executed in travertine the 'Pietra' is constructed by hand from six pieces which together resemble a solid block, but are deceptively lightweight. A raised lip around the gently curving edge of the tabletop creates a useful tray-like surface, ideal for displaying objects or placing a glass securely. Carefully cut, fitted, and finished, the curved edges and corners exemplify the extraordinary level of craftsmanship behind the table, and imbue the stone with a sense of softness.
 
Price per item. Available in unlimited quantities in choice of two sizes: square or rectangluar; and two colors: lively sepia or neutral white. Please specify when ordering.
