1950s Perforated Metal Diabolo Plug-In Wall Lamp Attributed to Mauri Almari.

A rare and elegant design executed in sculptural black painted perforated metal with attractively patinated brass arm. Total fixture height of shade and arm is 9.75 inches. Shade can rotate on joint. The stem can pivot back and forth within the wall mount bracket. Bears original "S" sticker on backplate. 

A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors.
 
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Shade opening is 4.8 inches at the bottom and 2.5 inches at the top. Professionally rewired for US electrical with 68 inches of white cord and on/off switch. Period-styled US wall plug. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor for additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.

Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
