This table lamp has a shade made from handmade washi paper, ink and bamboo ribs with the original Noguchi Akari manufacturer's stamp. The lamp measures 23 inches from the feet to the top of the wire structure. The shade measures 16 inches at its widest point. The bulb casts a soft diffuse glow, providing a sculptural focal point in any space.

Akari light sculptures by Isamu Noguchi are considered icons of 1950s modern design. Designed by Noguchi in the 1950s, this vintage example is from a later production run that was still largely handmade by Ozeki, the original manufacturer in Gifu, Japan.
Retains original manufacturer's packaging and authentic red Noguchi stamp on lamp. This item ships flat and simple assembly is required. Instructions included. Accommodates a single max 40w equivalent LED medium base (e26) bulb. Bulb not included. LED only. Recommended Tala bulbs available here.
