'Capas' Wool Kilim Rug by Mathias Hahn for Nanimarquina 

Fabricated from Afghan wool, 'Capas' is a hand-spun kilim rug. The Capas collection focuses on the creation and use of layers of colors, tonality and shadow to generate intense depth. Hahn’s starting point for the Capas collection is his notion of shadows being never black or gray, but full of color and geometry. In order to achieve this complexity and depth, Nanimarquina and Hahn studied the specifics of Kilim weaving techniques in search of new ways to distribute color.

Nani Marquina founded her namesake company in 1987 in Barcelona. More than 30 years later, the company continues to offer artisanal rugs worldwide without compromising on design, quality, or aesthetics.
