Executed in handwoven ethically sourced New Zealand wool, the 'Echo' rug is part of the Lucia Eames™ Collection from Nanimarquina. Echo explores Lucia Eames’ interest in rhythm and repetition in nature, where forms and patterns emerge, shift and reappear. The design is translated into a composition of bold shapes and color blocks. Hand-tufted wool combined with carving techniques enhances volume and depth, creating a dynamic and visually engaging surface. The rug's dense and comfortable construction makes it a piece that bridges artistic expression and everyday use.

Lucia Eames™, born in 1930 to Charles and Catherine Eames, spent the first 10 years of her life with them-including time in the rich creative environment of Michigan’s Cranbrook Academy of Art. After her parents’ divorce, she returned to St. Louis with her mother, spending summers in California with her father and Ray Eames. Her own creative path unfolded largely outside the public eye beginning with her education in the 1950s and her move to California in 1960, all the while raising 5 children. 

Nani Marquina founded her namesake company in 1987 in Barcelona. More than 30 years later, the company continues to offer artisanal rugs worldwide without compromising on design, quality, or aesthetics.
