Designed in 1954 by the famous French Master glassmaker and decorator Max Ingrand, this lamp was originally named 1853 and, later, Fontana, in homage to the company of which Ingrand was Artistic Director for a decade. For design enthusiasts and connoisseurs, the 'Fontana 1853' remains a best-selling symbol of timeless design.

Executed in white, satin-finish blown glass the 'Fontana 1853' features a double switch to allow for separate control of light in the base and diffuser.

Lamping varies by size:

• Small: accommodates a single E26 max 59W bulb and two G9 max 19W bulbs, not included. 
• Medium: accommodates a single E26 max 100W bulb and two E12 max 30W bulbs, not included. 
• Large: accommodates a single E26 max 59W bulb,  four E26 max 46W bulbs, and two E12 max 30W bulbs, not included. 

Recommended Tala bulbs available separately here. Ships with 8 foot black power cable with dual control switch. Not dimmable. IP 20 rated. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional cost.
