'Grand Relax' Lounge Chair by Antonio Citterio for Vitra.

This luxurious reclining lounge chair combines outstanding comfort with compact dimensions and a classic understated aesthetic. High-quality leather or fabric covers the soft seat and back cushions, which sit loosely on the chair to snugly envelop the sitter. The seat and backrest move independently, allowing for a comfortable reclining experience. A control knob can be rotated to adjust the resistance of the mechanism, and the backrest can be locked at any angle. Mounted on an elegant four-star base made of aluminium, the lounge chair can be rotated 360°.

Price is per item and includes matching ottoman. These chairs are made to order with a lead time of 12 weeks. Available in unlimited quantities.

Configurations with the four price groups and either a polished aluminum or powder-coated black steel base are also available in unlimited quantities with longer lead times. The Grand Relax came to fruition as a result of a collaboration between Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio and Vitra in 2019.  In addition to his collaboration with Vitra, Antonio Citterio has received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995. He served as professor of architecture at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio from 2006 to 2016 and was named 'Royal Designer for Industry' by the London-based Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in 2008.
