'Hobo' Glass and Brass Pendant by Örsjö

The Hobo pendant is inspired by Swedish ”luffarslöjd" - metalcrafts made by travelling workers many years ago in Småland, the home of the Swedish glass industry. Executed in a rough brass "basket" frame and canopy with a handblown opaline glass shade. The 'Hobo' is suspended by a green cloth cord that acts as a counterbalance with a gold textile cord and provides a soft diffuse light in a wide range of interiors.

Gothenburg-born Gustaf Nordenskiöld works in Stockholm as an artist and designer. As a product designer, he makes everyday objects in ceramics, glass, textiles, and metal. Nordenskiöld often allows the manufacturing method to become an important part of the finished work, leaving traces of the process in the object as a memory of its making.
