David Cressey and Robert Maxwell
Large 1970s Robert Maxwell and David Cressey Sunburst Planter for Earthgender.
Studio executed in hand etched, glazed and textured earthenware. A very clean and incredibly rare monumental example from the short-lived and increasingly coveted design collective that only existed for a few glorious years in the early 1970s in Venice, California. Drilled, structurally sound and highly presentable. An stunning example of 1970s ceramics, this piece can be used indoors or outdoors.
Sourced from a collector in Santa Monica who purchased directly from Robert Maxwell.
Please note that this piece is from our personal collection and was being used as a planter and thus might have some additional age appropriate wear including water marks, mineral deposits and soiling. Please contact us for additional photos.
