Pair of 1950s Stilnovo Model 2079/1 Brass and Glass Sconces with Original Labels.
Executed in brass, thick opaline glass, red Perspex, and retains original Stilnovo label. These sconces are a sculptural and refined design characteristic of midcentury Italian lighting at its highest level. Stilnovo was one of the most innovative Italian lighting design companies during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Professionally rewired for US electrical. Each lamp accommodates a single socket 75-watt max equivalent LED medium base bulb. Bulbs not included. These sconces retain the original unmodified backplates.
Please note only one representative example appears in the photos. Both lamps are in comparable condition but show some subtle differences including between the glass. Minor patina, scrapes, scuffs, and bends as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. More images are available upon request. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
