Designed by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba and produced by Foscarini, the Italian lighting firm founded in Venice on the legendary island of Murano. The ‘Rituals’ series is fabricated using many of the same artisanal glass blowing techniques perfected over centuries. The Ritual's linear surface engravings recall bamboo-ribbed washi paper of a Japanese light sculpture or traditional Chinese lantern, the ‘Rituals’ series is executed in blown opaline glass with its unique striped effect achieved through a meticulous step by step process.
