Inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence in mathematics, Oivind Slaatto's 'Patera' pendant for Louis Poulsen is meticulously woven by hand in Denmark to create a multi-directional sculptural light. Designed to shape light, the glowing sphere of the 'Patera' provides outstanding illumination with its highly recognizable contemporary Danish design, which creates a captivating space – whether or not the light is switched on.
The 'Patera' pendant's shade is executed in matte white PVC sheeting with a stem of matte chromed aluminum and die cast acrylic. Each "cell" of the pendant is assembled by hand to create a stunning play of light and shadow.
