Rare 1976 Alfred Homann & Ole V. Kjær 'Nyhavn' Patinated Copper Outdoor Sconce for Louis Poulsen

The 'Nyhavn' wall lamp was originally created by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær for a 1976 design competition held by Louis Poulsen for lighting in heritage urban areas.

Executed in copper that has a rich vintage patina. The light is characterized by a cone-shaped shade and three anti-glare rings that emit soft light directed upwards. Price is per item. Two vintage pieces available. Please note that the currently produced version from Louis Poulsen is available new in a separate listing.

Professionally rewired for US electrical. Accommodates single 15W max E26 medium base bulb (not included). Recommended Tala bulbs available here. Mounts directly to finished surface over a recessed 4S J-box with a 3-0 plaster ring. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.

Wear consistent with age and use. Please note that only one lamp appears in photos and video. Each lamp's patina varies but both present well as a pair if desired. Please contact us for additional images or video.
