'Siderea' Table Lamp in Manganese by Alberto Rosselli for Tato Italia
Designed in 1969 and inspired by the historic moon landing, this piece was created by Alberto Rosselli who worked, among other projects, at the iconic Pirelli building in Milan alongside Gio Ponti and Antonio Fornaroli. A satin-finished mirror and a silver-tipped bulb redirect the light into a flat, thin luminous surface, giving the table lamp a distinctly Space Age character. The cylindrical black iron base supports the semi-spherical shade; when lit, the base perforations cast a pattern of light. The 'Siderea' adds sculptural lighting to any space.
